Thank you to everyone who has bought tickets and smashed our target to screen Born At Home in Nottingham! Because of the popularity of the film we have been able to release more tickets. The tickets available via the ‘Demand Screening’ website are sold out, so please donate for remaining tickets via this event. I am happy to say that because we have covered the costs of the film thanks to the generosity of those who bought tickets in the first wave, we are able to offer tickets at a range of prices. This will enable everyone to attend, regardless of income, something that is very important to us.

If you are able to donate for one of these additional tickets, every penny will go to support the work of the Nottingham Home Birth Group. Home Birth Group has been active in Nottingham since 2006. We have been holding meetings, supporting families, campaigning, and offering a pool loan service, for all those years. All this is offered by a group of unpaid volunteers in their own time, and of course with the support of the wonderful group members who make the meetings and are part of the Facebook group. A big cost for the group is the replacement of items for the pool loan service. We rely on donations of pools and equipment for this service and we thank everyone who has donated in the past. However, inevitably pools get punctures and pumps break down, so we do need to keep on top of replacing things. This service means that everyone who needs a pool can access a pool, regardless of their level of income so we are very grateful for each and every donation to help us keep this service running.

If your financial circumstances mean you would like to go to the film but cannot donate at this time, or can only offer a limited donation – that is fine! We trust everyone to judge their own financial circumstances. Please get a ticket even if it is a free ticket – don’t just turn up on the night as there is a limited number of seats.

The event is from 6.30 – 8.30pm 27th June 2024. Please arrive early so we can be in our seats for 6.30 as this is the time the film is scheduled to start. The film runs for one hour, so we have plenty of time for discussion after the film.
